Our journey: From Exile to Adel, Iowa

Our family story spans continents. While living in exile, our oldest daughter, Hilda, was born in Malaysia. In 2009, our family—Lian and Ngun—resettled in the United States from Myanmar to build a safe, bright future. Since arriving in America, our family grew to include our two youngest sons, David and Felix, who were both born in the USA.

Lian began his career in Iowa as a welder at EFCO Corp. Driven by an exceptional work ethic and a sharp mind for detail, he earned successive promotions over the years—moving from welder to Drafter, Senior Drafter, CAD Designer 3, and ultimately Product Designer 3.

Yet, throughout those years in the corporate engineering world, Lian never let go of his true dream: living on a farm and working with livestock.

The Path to Our Dream: 2016 to 2026

We turned that dream into reality in 2016 when we began raising our own livestock right here on our Iowa farm. Guided and supported by the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), we firmly established our roots, expanded our herd, and strengthened our agricultural foundations.

Our processing business evolved through a dedicated, ten-year journey:

• 2016–2021: We hit the ground running, proudly serving our local neighbors and farmers through our on-farm mobile slaughtering operation.

• 2021–2026: We deliberately paused operations to invest in our future. We dedicated these five years to navigating complex legal processes and constructing a state-of-the-art building from the ground up.

Opening September 2026: This month, we are officially opening our fully dedicated, modern custom exempt processing facility. This milestone brings our journey full circle, combining our years of hands-on farming with the rigorous structural precision Lian honed during his design and engineering career.

1. Our Own Farm-Raised Meats: We raise our own livestock with care right here on our farm, ensuring top-tier quality from birth to processing.

2. Processing for Local Farmers: We partner directly with local farmers and homesteaders to harvest and process their livestock, bringing their hard work safely to their family tables.
